Explorers enjoyed watching the apples be pressed and strained in the press room. Among the children, there was a collective "ohhh" when the apple pulp came down the chute onto the press tray. Afterward, Explorers and their parents went into the store to sample apple and cherry cider.


Interesting Apple Facts:

  • It takes about 36 apples to create one gallon of apple cider
  • Apples are fat, sodium, and cholesterol free.
  • A medium apples is about 80 calories.
  • Apples are a great source of the fiber pectin. One apple has five grams of fiber.
